PURCHASER

DUTIES
Ensure requests from Departments are properly labeled and referenced.
Manage Suppliers’ database and tender process
Background Check on quality of products/ services of Suppliers
Negotiate price and product specification
Follow up and close out international order placements
Monitoring orders and purchase orders up to delivery
Track and manage  order and reorder of P/S as requested
Ensure suppliers are checked regularly to maintain Company standard
Ensure effective up to date record keeping and system data
Line reporting and functional linkage
Reports to the Purchase Manager

EXPERIENCE
Marine Engineering Company Working Background
Must have strong knowledge of procurement & costing principles related sourcing of components.
Must have technical ability to understand marine technical application of what is being procured
Experience in tracking and inventory management
Previous Experience in an international environment
Languages
Fluent in English
Computer knowledge
Advanced computer literacy in Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Oracle

Education
Bachelor’s Degree in Purchasing, Engineering Science or Social Sciences
Additional related qualifications will be a definite added advantage
