Arbico Plc – Founded in 1958 and quoted on the Nigerian Stock Exchange since 1978, is a full service building and civil engineering contracting company. The company is involved in the construction of a broad spectrum of projects for Government, Multinational Companies, Industrial Groups, as well as High Net-worth Individuals. As part of our strategy to drive growth in the coming years, we are seeking to employ qualified individuals to fill various positions within the Organization.

Arbico Plc is recruiting to fill the position of:

JOB TITLE: CONTRACTS MANAGER/SENIOR QUANTITY SURVEYOR
LOCATION: Any City, NG

JOB DESCRIPTION
Preparation & implementation of cost management plan including preparation of cost estimates, cash flow projections & budget reports.
Administration of contracts with client, design consultants and subcontractors including evaluation & resolution of variation orders and claims.

REQUIREMENTS
EDUCATIONAL LEVEL:
Degree in Business, Quantity Surveying, Law, Engineering, Construction Management or Cost Engineering or equivalent experience.
Membership of Accredited Professional Bodies desirable.

EXPERIENCE LEVEL:
Suitable post degree experience working in the contracting commercial department preferably within the oil and gas industry.
Must have strong legal background in projects, insurance, controls and process compliance management in the oil and gas sector.
Must be a team player and also able to work effectively under pressure and with minimum supervision.

OTHER REQUIREMENTS
Thorough knowledge of construction contract administration, costing, scheduling, land surveying, estimating, engineering principles and techniques, as well as accounting principles.
Must be familiar with various modern construction methods and materials, their characteristics, installation procedures and tolerances.
Ability to read, understand and interpret conditions of contract, drawings, specifications.
Previous EPC experience in the Oil and Gas Industry a plus.
The candidate must show experience working on major construction projects and involvement from design commencement through construction completion including commissioning & handover.
Very strong negotiation and influencing skills are required.
